This model first made its way to the scene in 1994 as a sports-tourer though most riders had reservations about its physical looks which the company explained were inspired by a stingray that was spotted at an ocean aquarium. It however makes up for that with great handling, versatility and very reasonable price. It is actually sportier than its appearance might indicate. Offering a solid performance, speed and maneuverability, it might be the bike to gain experience on, for riders who want to cross over to the race track. It offers a better riding position than the trendier GSX series and is also quite equal to the task when it comes to acceleration. Its headlight uses a H4 or HB2 halogen light bulb with a P43T base and ultra beam tint that gives the standard 60/55 watts for high and low beam. This bulb can be purchased for US $12.
