There is scarcely any difference between this model and the S40 and it is not uncommon to hear even the more informed riders mistake the two. This owes largely to the facts that both are in the same engine category (650cc) and also belong to the cruiser family. This implies that it is also especially recommended for the beginner, an opinion punctuated by the fact that it has one of the lowest seat heights in the market. It is however the father to the S40 and can be considered the most experienced of the 650cc class of cruiser bikes that bike lovers like to call the heavy lightweights. Actually the difference between the two is that the S40 is now the Boulevard version of the Savage 650. The headlight for this model is fitted with a single xenon HID H4 Ultra beam bulb with a P43T base that gives 60/55 watts for US $ 12.00.
