Like its bigger sister, the V-Strom 1000, it was also designed to satisfy versatility demands and was introduced to the US in 2004. In order to achieve this feat, it compromises on some areas of strength and has managed to do so to a remarkable degree of success. Being a lighter and smaller model than the V-Strom 1000, it adds to the positive attributes of its sister model improved maneuverability and handling, a fact that has the bike off the show rooms as fast as it gets there. It competes mainly with the Honda XL700V Transalp (which is actually said to be better), but is cheaper and offers great fun action and stylish looks that immediately give the impression of its capabilities. Its headlight is also fitted a pair of H4 xenon ultra white HID halogen blue tinted bulbs, with the high beam and low beam ratio of 55/60 watts and is obtainable at US $ 14.99.
