This model is a perfect example of how the bikes produced in the 1960s looked like and this was the era when the Triumph was at its peak and especially so on the race circuit. It has an amazing classical look that is very deceiving about its time of production, where one is inclined to think that it’s a well kept old bike, yet it has just come out of production. After the re-introduction of the Bonneville in 2001, there was a craving for a more actual 1960s classical look and thus the introduction of the Thruxton. Its impact was instant. Its engine is largely a bigger and more powerful version of the Bonneville’s which is one of its more endearing qualities. Having its round headlight fitted with the incandescent bulb, it can be replaced with the xenon HID H4 501 bulb which gives the standard 60/55 watt light and at a cost of US $ 4.95.
